Drage and Tozer Optometrist Rupal Lovell-Patel who lecturers at Anglia Ruskin has been nominated for a prestigious national award in recognition of her services to optics.
Rupal’s lecturing at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge has resulted in her being shortlisted in the Lecturer of the Year’ category. Run by the Association of Optometrists (AOP), the awards recognise the highest levels of achievement in optics throughout the UK.
Headline sponsored by CooperVision, the awards has grown in popularity year-on-year since its launch in 2011, cementing itself as a highlight in the optical calendar.
Rupal, who has been in the profession for 17 years, has been shortlisted by a selection committee for her outstanding work as a lecturer.
Commenting on her nomination, Rupal said:
“ I am honoured to be shortlisted for an amazing award and what makes it even better is that my students put my name forward for this award. I am really proud of my students and thank them for such a generous gift.“
